A girl scout I am not

Last night after I got home with the kids, Brock decided that he wanted to go outside with Daddy to play in the snow.
Just a quick drink before heading outside

CHEESE!!!!

Getting the snowman started

Posing next to Frosty and then giving him a hug.
So apparently I fail big time at being the mom that always has all the ingredients for homemade cookies, for doing an impromptu talent show and for making snowmen.  Do you see those eyes?  Yeah, those are a chocolate muffin cut in half because we didn't have anything better to make eyes with.  The nose?  It's a granola bar because we don't have any carrots in the house (well, we have baby carrots but it wouldn't have looked the same).  The arms?  The arms are scrap pieces of trim that Greg had in his truck that are left over from a job he just finished.  What were we supposed to make the eyes out of?  Coal according to the song, but who has lumps of coal lying around?  Not me as I was a good girl last year and actually got presents for behaving myself all year long. ::sigh:: Is it the trashiest snowman ever constructed?  Perhaps.  But Brock couldn't have been happier if the eyes were made out of solid gold.  And that is what is important.

LOL! I thought they were cookies at first. Thanks for clarifying. :) JK I couldn't tell you the last time I actually made a snowman, and I live in upstate NY for crying out loud. Haha. Very cute though! Brock loved it that's all that matters.

I think its perfect - we used rocks for eyes and mouths. And not always carrots for nose...
Its all in the fun - he will remeber making it - not what it was made with ;) Cute family as always!

Ok, was waiting to make a comment but saw the funniest thing on facebook tonight. Someone made a snowman and I have no idea what they used for eyes, nose, mouth (looked like foam rollers for your hair) but they used deer antlers on it and two spindly sticks for the arms. It was so funny. Tell Brock Frosty looks good enough to eat.

Unfortunately, one of the neighborhood cats beat you to it :( We went outside Sunday afternoon and found poor Frosty only had half of an eye and the cat was bolting out of our yard. Poor little fella.
