Baby news Week 12

By previously supported timelines I am officially 12 weeks! However, because a pregnancy lasts 40 weeks (and therefor 10 months rather than 9 months) I will not officially be in the second trimester until 13 weeks and 3 days. Oh well what's one more week! The baby is now the size of a plum! I think it is incredibly ironic that the pregnancy website that I frequent consistently compares my unborn to food. Ironic because up until about a week ago, the thought of food--any food--made me want to toss my cookies. Or pizza. Or water. Or whatever it was that I just ate. But that being said, I haven't thrown up in over a week and I am truly hoping that by me putting that fact out there in the great void of space that is the internet that I have not jinxed myself.

Week 12:
As you move into the second trimester, baby shifts into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of baby's systems are fully formed.
2.1 inches, 0.49 oz

In other baby news, I have an appointment on Thursday with my new doctor. Well, actually I think it is with her nurse and it is just boring stuff that they already got at the other doctor's office. But I am trying to tone down my excitement in the (slight) hope that they will do another ultrasound! Also, Greg and I got the office cleaned out this weekend and hopefully when he comes back home we will paint and put trim down in that room (which will be Brock's 'big boy' room). Then in a couple of weeks we are planning on the beginning phases of Operation: Move Brock into a toddler bed without him rolling/jumping out and playing with toys all night. We shall see how that goes. I will post later this week if anything exciting happens at the doctor's office on Thursday!

Well as I am reading about the second born, I am listening to the oldest play drums with an ink pen and the table. I must say he has rhythum. And the longest arms ever, he can reach everything we previously put up. Now on to other things, he is distracted between the cat outside and where Grandpa went (to shower).
Glad that the baby girl is making you feel better!! Didn't happen that way with Brock if I remember correctly (I remember about 5 months along and still not eating very much until you were sick)
Thanks for the update.
