Things I did:
*drank 50g of sugar in 50mL of orange drink that tasted like super-sweet Sunkist that had been sitting out for a week. I had thought ahead to keep it in the fridge though, so it wasn't too bad.
*got to the clinic 30 minutes before my blood had to be drawn & got checked in
*they were running early (What?!) and were able to do my appointment before my deadline for the blood draw!
*had my blood drawn and the lab tech was annoyed that I was 2 seconds late (not my fault. The doctor was a little chatty today) and she felt that a fair punishment was to stick me twice. Did she apologize? Nope. She didn't even offer me a sticker. Hmpf. Oh well, I'm tough.
*peed in a cup (nothing abnormal in my urine & I didn't get any on my hand!)
*took my vitals (pulse & bp are normal)
*stepped on a scale (I take real issue with their scale. I swear to God it weighs me at least 3-4 lbs heavier than our scale at home. So, I am basing my weight gain on our scale because that's the one I use every day. I'm not so much concerned with the actual number, but I would like for the scale to be consistent so that I know if I have gained 2 lbs in a month or 6. Kinda makes a difference!)
*had a lovely chat with the doctor
*heard baby G's heart beat (140bpm)
*had my uterus measured
*I am (once again) measuring ahead! I just hit the 27 week mark and I am measuring 29 weeks. Now, for those loyal enough to read every one of my blog entries (Mom) you will remember this information. For those that do not care about my ramblings on a day-to-day basis, I will update you. The last time I went to the doctor and she measured me, I was measuring one week ahead. Now, I am measuring two weeks ahead. The good doctor assures me that this is nothing to worry about. And, I'm not technically worried. I just hope that if Baby G continues to grow at this rate, she comes the minute her lungs are developed enough to not be on a ventilator or the doctor has a heart and will not try to make me push a 12-lb baby out of my vag & will let me schedule a c-section! Worried? Not yet. Talk to me again when I am in the 33+ week range and she is measuring 40 weeks. Then I will be "worried".
*Finally, I was told that everything looks great and I am far enough along now that I have to go in for check-ups every 2 weeks! I cannot believe that I am already at this point in the pregnancy. July will be here before I know it!

OK, yes I check your blog daily!! You know what I think your due date will be and it is not the end of July!! You told us everything about your doctor appointment except what the sugar test results were. I am assuming that it is negative. Baby boy is snoring right now and was so cute tonight. He was still a Papa's boy, sat in his chair to watch cartoons and snuggle with him tonight before bed.
Love,
Nana and Papa
I will let you know the results as soon as I find out! Patience, grasshopper. It takes 24-48 hours and they said they would call me either way.
