Happy Viability Day, Baby G!

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 5 lbs from pre-pregnancy
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? Yes
Sleep: This weekend was horrible, but I was sick so that was because of Brock not baby G
Best moment this week: Hitting our viability day! Baby G is official considered "viable". Meaning that if she were to be delivered now, her chance of survival outside the womb goes up drastically. While this fact is comforting, it also scares the bejezus outta me!
Worst moment this week: This is a tie between: 1) Finding out at my last appointment that I have to take the gestational diabetes test when I go back and 2) Getting tons of rude pregnancy-related comments (Be sure to vote on the poll!)
Movement: All the time and last night she was being really sassy to her daddy & kicking the crap out of him!
Food cravings: Whoppers from Burger King. I could eat one every single day.
Gender: Still a princess
Labor Signs: Nothing happening this week :)
Belly Button in or out? Still in.
What I miss: Sleeping through the night without being woken up by a) drooling so much that the wet sensation wakes me up, b) the horrible feeling that snot is dripping out of my nose because I flipped over and the bottom nostril is draining (sorry if that was an overshare) & c) long, painful coughing fits. Hopefully I will be better soon!
What I am looking forward to: Finishing up Baby G's room so that Greg will stop freaking out and asking me every week how many weeks he has until she comes. This question is usually followed by, "Do you think she will come early? Because if she does, then I have even less time." ::Deep breath, in & out::
Milestones: Hitting viability day!
Technical baby news: Watch what you say -- baby is now able to hear outside noise from down in the womb. Studies show that baby finds gentle music and your own voice most soothing. Nipples are starting to sprout, and that little face is fully formed. And, baby's starting to settle into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.10.5-11.8 inches, 12.7-20.8 oz. Baby G is the size of a papaya this month!

Good thing I have so much vacation time built up. Tell Greg that he will have one week around July 4th that he can devote to her room. I will take Brock off your hands! We will plan fun things to do and maybe even if G-pa will take off, we can go to the zoo in KC and surprise Daddy! (well I guess now it isn't a surprise!)
Have a good week and let me know when you are going to test and I can come over to watch him for a while.
Love

YAY for making it to the viable date!! I hope you get to feeling better soon!! It's hard enough being sick with one little one, let alone being pregnant. Have fun with the test!! YUCKY!!! Actually, I just chugged the crap outta it and held my breath while doing so therefore it wasn't too awful bad. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the greatest!! ;) Have a good week!!!
