34 Weeks & we had our photo shoot today!

How far along? 34 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: + 15lbs from pre-pregnancy
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? Yes
Sleep: Using 2-3 pillows under my head and sleeping with my Snugglie between my knees.
Best moment this week: I have a few this week:
1. Finding out that Brock doesn't have Celiac's disease so he can keep eating wheat!
2. Finding out that at this point, if I were to go into labor on my own, my OB wouldn't do anything to stop it (which means that she thinks that Baby G is healthy enough to be an outside baby!)
3. Booking and taking our family/maternity photos
Worst moment this week: Honestly, I can't think of anything!
Movement: Lots & lots & lots. Especially when I'm trying to sleep!
Food cravings: I really haven't been too hungry this week. Still recovering from the cold, I think.
Gender: Still a girl as far as we know
Labor Signs: Nothing going on right now.
Belly Button in or out? Barely allowed to be called a belly button anymore. Looks more like a weird fleshy patch.
What I miss: My husband being around
What I am looking forward to: Getting all of the baby stuff in the house, registering for the stuff that we need (for the completion coupon, not a shower), getting our house sold, packing our hospital bag . . . the list goes on and on
Milestones: Making it to 34 weeks which is the point that my doctor thinks is okay to go into labor (kinda good news/scary!)
Technical baby news: Baby’s senses are continuing to improve -- when light peeks in through your (extremely) stretched belly, those tiny eyelids and irises blink and dilate. And, baby can now recognize and react to simple songs… time to start practicing your lullabies! Growth (at least inside your womb) is starting to slow, and you may notice baby descend into your pelvis at the end of this month. 17.2-18.7 inches, 4.2-5.8 lbs. Baby G is the size of a honeydew this month!

Maternity/Family Photo session:

To start things off, Greg tells me five minutes before the photographer gets there that he doesn't want to get the pictures taken at all. So I shoot him a death look and he tries to play the, "You know I hate to have my picture taken" card. Well, I don't care. The most recent picture we have of all three of us is from CHRISTMAS and the last formal picture we have of all of us is from when Brock was 9 months old (he is 21 months old now).

Then the photographer shows up with sample maternity pictures to get some ideas about what we want, etc. Unfortunately, the popular trend as of late is naked maternity pictures. Uh, Greg is not into this (neither am I) & I wish that I had a camera to get a picture of the look on his face! It was priceless! He was upset about getting the pictures taken in the first place but then he thinks that we are going to do them in the nude! Hahahahahaha! Of course he is the one giving me the death look at that point and I'm trying to not DIE laughing! Luckily the photographer forgot something in her car and ran back outside to get it and I quickly explained to him that we were not taking naked pictures but he still thought the photographer was a "weirdo" (his words, not mine).

Anyway, we made it through the photography session mostly unharmed (although Brock tried very hard to break this poor woman's camera through, eh "exploration") and she was absolutely wonderful with him! I still cannot believe that I let her take bare belly shots because my stomach looks like a road map (thanks to my two lovely children) but she assured me that she would photoshop the shit out of those pictures. She said that she was going to work on them tonight and put a CD with a copyright waiver in the mail tomorrow and since we live in the same town, I should get it by the middle of the week!!!!!! Hooray! I'm so excited to see how they turned out!

I know it is exciting that you could have Baby Girl anytime now but it scares the bejesus out of me. She really needs to wait a few more weeks!! First of all she needs to be born in July so she has a lovely birthstone like her mommy. Second of all we don't want any problems or her to have to spend any time in NICU. We want to be able to hold and cuddle her when she gets here! Papa and I have been practicing this weekend holding children way smaller and more cooperative than Brock. What happen to our little snuggle bunny???
Can't wait to see the pictures. Of course, you could post one here for everyone to see! Glad you all opted to not do nude pictures. Something I do not want to see! Sorry but I am your mother!
Have a good, quiet week.
Love Nana and Papa

I can't believe how close you are getting to having little girl. It seems like just yesterday I heard that you were expecting again!! So excited. I can't wait to meet her, of course we want her to bake a little while longer though.

P.S. I still have that castor oil you got me, let me know if you need it! :)
