35 week OB check-up

I went to the doctor yesterday for my 35 week OB check-up and here are the results:
-the usual: vitals, pee in a cup, get weighed in, blah, blah
-my uterus is measuring 36 weeks (just a smidge ahead)
-Had my group B strep test and I will have the results back next week at my appointment.
-Since I've been having a few contractions for the past few days I asked for an internal to see if I was making any progress since I was checked about 3 weeks ago. Plus, she was going to be in that vicinity anyway so I figured it was worth it. Turns out, I'm not dilated any more than I was (fingertip) but she said that my cervix is starting to soften. So, not alot of progress, but progress nonetheless.
-Since Greg is in town all week due to the horrendous heat, he actually got to go with me! He got to hear Baby G's heartbeat for the first time since our big ultrasound around 20 weeks. His reaction was so cute; he is such a sucker for his little lady already!
-Baby G's heart rate was 138.
-When we were leaving the doctor's office Greg was kind of being mopey so I asked him what was wrong. He got the cutest look on his face and said, "I was hoping that you were going to be dilated because I am so excited to hold her & see her." ::Swoon:: First he sends me flowers for our anniversary without any hint dropping or suggestion on my part and THEN he goes and says something really cute like that. I think I picked a pretty good guy.
-Otherwise I am down to weekly appointments so I will be going every Tuesday from now until Baby G arrives! Hooray!
-Oh yeah, there was a med student with Dr. Winkleman and she was not too smart. Greg's words. Not mine. It will be interesting to see how he is in the delivery room at a teaching facility where everybody and their mother wants to come & "observe" everything that is being done to me and Baby G. Would it be wrong to record his reaction and post it on the blog????

I seem to remember the last time you were at a teaching hospital and his reaction. Thought he was going to punch the doctor and I think he actually asked you if you wanted him to and you weren't even married to him yet!!
Well if you wait one more week, her birthstone will be Ruby!! So I guess anytime after Wednesday would be fine. It would be sad if you missed Peyton's party!
Tell Brock Nana and Papa miss him. Papa can't wait to hear him say "Stop Buggy". I told him it was really cute.

OK, I worked on food for you all weekend! I think I have about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks worth of food for you all. So anytime after tomorrow! Can't wait to talk to you about what your son did tonight! He is such a boy! I will tell you it involved a serious need for a bath and got one pretty early! Oh yeah, he is a Dunn also, even if he looks like Daddy he has some devious Mommy tendencies!
