Since I'm down to weekly appointments, I'm going to combine the weekly updates with my OB check-up news.
How far along? 36 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: + 20lbs from pre-pregnancy.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? Yes
Sleep: Not much lately :(
Best moment this week: Having Greg home for an entire week! It was wonderful!
Worst moment this week: Having a near melt-down the other night when I was feeling extremely crappy and I couldn't get comfy no matter what I did. THEN I realized that I had a month to go! Poor Greg. He actually held up pretty well!
Movement: Lots & lots & lots. Lots of feet to the ribs, shoulders to the pelvis & head-butts to the cervix.
Food cravings: Nothing this week.
Gender: Still a girl as far as we know, but Greg keeps having his doubts because we are getting SO MANY girl clothes as gifts!
Labor Signs: Still having contractions off and on this week but nothing (so far) has lead to anything and it's more annoying that anything else. But it is funny to see my co-worker's reactions at work! Anytime it happens at home now, Greg just asks, "Contraction?" in a very nonchalant way. He probably won't believe me when I'm actually in labor.
Belly Button in or out? Barely allowed to be called a belly button anymore. Looks more like a weird fleshy patch.
What I miss: Sleeping through the night. The dream that the house will be sold before baby G is born.
What I am looking forward to: Selling the house, packing our hospital bag, getting the few little things left on our shopping list. Oh, and of course, holding our little baby girl!
Milestones: Just under a month to go!
Technical baby news: Baby’s senses are continuing to improve -- when light peeks in through your (extremely) stretched belly, those tiny eyelids and irises blink and dilate. And, baby can now recognize and react to simple songs… time to start practicing your lullabies! Growth (at least inside your womb) is starting to slow, and you may notice baby descend into your pelvis at the end of this month. 17.2-18.7 inches, 4.2-5.8 lbs. Baby G is the size of a honeydew this month!

Updates from the doctor's office:
-Baby G is still head-down
-My OB thinks that she is approximately 5.5 lbs at this point. And if I go to 40 weeks, she thinks that Baby G will be about 7.5-8 lbs.
-Blood pressure, urine, weight all okay
-My Group B Strep test from last week was negative so I won't need an antibiotic during labor
-My uterus is measuring right on schedule at 36cm
-Heartbeat was 136
-Continue weekly appointments until I have this baby!
-(This one is for you, mom) An interesting observation today while I was in the waiting room at my OB's office. There were 4 men in the waiting room. All apparently alone. All but one of them was young enough to be the "father" to an unborn child (the one oin question was around 60, so it IS plausible). Lemme tell you this, if I made Greg leave work to go with me to a doctor's office in the middle of the day (my appointment was at 10am) and THEN I made him sit in the waiting room, he would be livid. Now I realize that there are two sides to every story so let's flip it. If my husband came with me to the doctor (to be checked out due to the "condition" that he got me in) and he chose to sit out in the waiting room, I would be livid. So the moral of this story is, if you are going to take the time to go to the doctor with somebody (and you are not the patient), especially when it is related to YOUR CHILD, go into the damn exam room! Ladies don't like to get poked and prodded any more than men like to witness it. So suck it up, you Hoosiers!

I can't believe you didn't post about the guys in the waiting room!!
I know I have told you before, just be patient about the house, it will happen in its own time. I know how patient you and Greg are so I am anxiously waiting for this to happen.
Dont tell Greg about what I said I would make him for the hospital treat, we will make it a surprise!
Now if you can make it through the weekend since you have a lot planned.
Love
