Growth update

Today was a bittersweet day for me. I know that it's not a huge deal, but I know that it's the first of many milestones that will remind me that my little baby is growing like a weed and will not be a baby forever. This morning at 4am, I took Adrianna's last newborn diaper and put it in the diaper pail. She is now officially in size 1 diapers! Considering that she was just under 8 lbs at her check-up this week, I'm not surprised, but I can't believe that our two week old is already out of newborn diapers! She is also now out of preemie sleepers but can still fit into some of her preemie onesies and pants.

We also officially started tummy time today and Adrianna is not exactly thrilled about it because when she is on her tummy, she can't see what is going on. Hmmmm, sounds awfully familiar. Her big brother used to do the same thing! She does still prefer to sleep on her tummy/side which is why we are still sleeping on the couch together with the boppy across my lap because I'm not about to let her sleep in her crib or basinett and take the chance that she will roll over.

Finally, as ashamed as I am to actually write this out, we gave Adrianna her first bath (since the hospital) today. I held off this week because Greg was out of town and I REALLY wanted him to be a part of it. Now, keep in mind, I have been keeping her clean with baby wipes, but today was her first bath with soap and water. ::Hangs head in shame:: I am a horrible mommy.

Aw! That's so cute. Maddie had her growth check on the 6th. We're finally 7 pounds at 1 month. Send those newborns our way. They finally fit!

Isn't it sad how fast they're growing and changing? Breaks my heart!

I am not surprised, when I fed her today, she sucked down that 4 ounces pretty quickly, well except when Brock needed up to help me! Had to stop to help him up. He is so cute with her.
Hope he had a better day today.
Hope you all get some sleep tonight, need to work on getting the kids schedules together.
By the way, Grandma Moore is so excited to be watching him on Wednesday. She bought cheese curls and you know how much he loves them.
Love,
Papa and D

If it makes you feel any better, we were never able to fit into newborn diapers, and he was out of his 0-3s at 6 weeks! I cried putting them away!
