Hmmm . . . this little lady is getting LARGE. Everybody at work this week kept making comments like, "Wow. Your belly is really out-there!" Uh, yup. And I'm just over 1/2 way done with the pregnancy; wait until I am in the 30-week range!
How far along? 21 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I am back down to my "up 1 lb from pre-pregnancy" weight. Thanks, in large part, to getting rid of some of the Easter candy!
Maternity clothes? Yes but this week I did try to wear a pre-pregnancy t-shirt around the house and Brock kept poking my belly (the part that was sticking out!)
Stretch marks? Nothing new.
Sleep: I can't get enough.
Best moment this week: Seeing our baby girl on the ultrasound!
Movement: Yes, even enough now that I can see her moving!

Food cravings: Nothing new.
Gender: Team pink! Even though we were not going to find out, little girl wanted to let us know that she was a "she"! Greg was so cute about the whole thing because we both noticed right away that she was a girl and neither of us said anything until the ultrasound tech asked if we had any predictions! I guess Madame Zaritska was right about that part!
Labor Signs: none this week
Belly Button in or out? Still in & will probably stay that way.
What I miss: Greg being around for all the doctor appointments, movements, milestones, etc.
What I am looking forward to: Getting our little lady's room painted (that is on Greg's honey-do list for the rest of the weekend!). Per Greg's request, it will be pink and purple and he is even going to do some fancy woodwork this week while he is in KC so that she has a "castle" topper for her bookshelf!
Weekly Wisdom: Some of the worst "advice" that I heard this week was when your baby is cutting teeth, to rub a thimble on their gums to cut them and allow the teeth to come through! Wha????
Milestones: Seeing that everything is growing exactly the way it should be! The only thing that was a little off was her belly was measuring big, but they said that she had just eaten (we could see that her belly was full of amniotic fluid) and she was pooching it out! It was so comforting to see her perfect little heart, all ten fingers, all ten toes, and to know that she loves the camera already! Also, she measured in at 15oz, so we are just under 1 pound! See? That pound that I have gained is accounted for!
Technical baby news: Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch. The baby is as big as a banana!
10.5 inches, 12.7 oz

Sadly, this is the last weekly food analogy that I have from the pregnancy website that I frequent. So from now on, look for these lovely comparisons at the "month" mark from now on.
