Around 1pm Greg gave Betty a call to see how things were going and she was filling him in about the butterfly and how they played outside this morning, etc. Then I heard her through the phone say, "Oh! Guess what Brock did today!" Then I see Greg's face light up and he mouths the words "potty" to me! Oh. Em. Gee. I cannot believe that my little boy is going potty in the big boy potty! ::Deep breaths in and out::
As soon as Greg got off the phone I made him tell me what happened and here it is: Betty had all of the boys lined up at the bathroom to go potty and Brock looked up at her and said, "Me too!" (insert ooooohs & ahhhhhhs here, please!) so she helped him up onto the stool and at first he wouldn't go. She turned around for a quick second and Brock had peed all over the floor. The second time Betty got all the kids lined up to go to the bathroom and when it was Brock's turn, he did it! My big boy peed in the potty! And standing up, no less. We have a box of new toys all ready to go for just such a day and Brock has his big boy underwear folded up in his drawer just waiting for the right time.
I knew this day was coming and I have actually been looking forward to it. I'm just surprised that on his first day with Betty, she got him to pee. In the toilet. Standing up. ::Sigh:: My little boy is officially not a little boy anymore.
P.S. This is my 100th blog entry! I feel like I should get an award. Or fireworks. Or at least a cookie.

Yeah for him, first of all being such a great big brother yesterday, helping me feed Adrianna, soothing her while I went to get a diaper (rocking Papa's chair ever so gently and patting and talking to her) and now pottying in the big boy potty! The little set back tonight will improve. Tell him Papa and D said he is such a big boy.
Love,
Papa and D
Congratulations on your 100th post! Of course, it would have to involve poo. You know you're a mother when poop and potty are part of your daily conversation.
Hope Greg's hand it healing nicely...
