31 Week OB check-up & a new dress

Here's the dress that I bought to wear to a friend's baby shower in a couple of weeks! The trouble is, I'm not sure if I should wear it with the jacket or not so I took some pics and would like a little feedback. The dress on a hanger with and without the jacket:

Pics of me in the dress. Sorry about the camera being in every shot, but I don't trust Brock just yet to take pictures of me!

Any feedback is appreciated! Unless you are going to tell me that I look like a big cow. That will most likely buy you a punch in the face. And don't think that the internet will buy you any distance from me. I will hunt you down!

In other news, I went to the OB today and actually saw the group's nurse practitioner because my doc took today off for Memorial Day (since she doesn't work in the office on Mondays). This is what we talked about:
*I didn't pee on my hand!
*I actually lost a pound from my last appointment according to their scale (but, as previously stated, I don't trust their scale)
*Urine & vitals are all good
*She felt the baby and said that she feels like she is head-down at this point, but of course, she can still flip around. She also said that the baby was not engaged in my pelvis yet, so we don't have to worry about preterm labor at this point. All good news there!
*Baby G's heart rate is in the 140s still
*My uterus is measuring right at 31 cm, so I have leveled back out and rather than being ahead, I'm right on track as far as my due date goes . . .
*I was told that I can start taking Zantac twice a day now because the one is not cutting it and sometimes I get heartburn so bad I nearly throw-up (I know that you all wanted to know that little fact!)
*She recommended that we do our hospital tour in the next couple of weeks so that we have at least seen the place where I will be delivering. I told her about Greg being out of town so often and she was very understanding. So, I think we will try to get that done this weekend or next.
*I was told that Dr. Winkleman doesn't usually let her patients go past 41 weeks so if I haven't delivered by my due date, I will be induced sometime the following week. So according to that, Baby G will be born no later than July 31!
*I realized that my due date is exactly 2 months from today and I had a minor panic attack. Not really, but I can't believe how quickly this has gone and by the end of July I will have 2 kids! Wow.
*The nurse practitioner told me that because the practice is so large, Dr. Winkleman only delivers every other Wednesday. I thought this was a little odd, but I know that the nurse does most of the work anyway and the doc swoops in at the last second to catch the baby and takes all the glory! However, later I was talking to a friend of mine that sees the same OB and is only 2 weeks behind me in her pregnancy. She had asked Dr. Winkleman about this a long time ago and she was told (by the doctor) that unless she is out of town, she is there to deliver her patient's babies. Hmmm, I think I will be asking when I go back in two weeks just to be sure.
*I found out that Dr. Winkleman will be out of town the week of July 12 which is the day that I have predicted that I will go into labor!
Other things I did today:
*got the oil changed in the van. I seriously recommend Jiffy Lube. I was in & out in about 10 minutes. Not kidding. Plus, they topped off my other fluids, vacuumed out my car, & washed my windshield!
*folded up 3 loads of laundry
*did a load of dishes
*got a pedicure
*opened up a savings account for Baby G
*went to Wal-Mart to look for soy icecream for Brock. No luck there. I will have to try Hy-Vee or Clover's this weekend.
It's amazing how many things I can get accomplished when Brock is at school!

First thing, I like the dress with the jacket, just my opinon.
Second, YAY for good OB visits. I can't wait to meet baby G. I'm super excited. I've been giving Peyton little talks about being nice, not pulling hair, etc... we'll see how that works.
And third, woohoo, I finally beat your mom at posting. hehe!! :)

Well to Ms. Schafer, I was at work and the internet police there will not allow us access or I would have beat you. You need to update your blog.
I like the dress either way, depending on the weather, my opinion.
Who cares who delivers her just so she gets here safe and sound. I think it is good that Brock is such a Dada/Papa boy right now so when she gets here, he won't be so mad.

You will be so surprised that I finally figured out how to do this. I like the one with the jacket. I agree with your mom. Who cares who delivers your precious little girl, as long as she is healthy, it doesn't really matter. With all the heartburn, I'm expecting lots and lots of curls on this baby too!!

I like without the jacket, but I would bring it along just in case of unfavorable weather/indoor cooling. Yay on a good healthy baby report! :)

Side note: Our doctor is only on the OB side and doesn't deliver, so I will have a midwife and if needed which ever doctor is on duty at the time.

Tara, I'd let the weather determine if you wear the jacket or not. By the way, cute dress.

Glad to hear a positive update on Baby G and you. Looking forward to meeting the little princess.

By the way, my dining room window is cleaned again and waiting for Brock to smear it with banana again. LOL. Oh and we now have toys moved over.

I like the dress without the jacket, but maybe with a lacy camisole under it to cover your ample boobage! :)
